Being an avid traveller who loves to sing and groove to an array of tunes and be organised (my accountant loves me for it) I would definitely have to say I love the gadgets below for the following reasons:
Laptop with wireless connection: is my personal organiser; juke box – as it is the central intelligence agency hub for my iTunes! ; it is also a paper-saver; portable DVD player (list goes on as it fades into the distance ;)
iPod: keeper of all my music and photos with stupendously massive 80GB memory. I think my laptop is secretly jealous.
Digital camera: is an essential gadget to capture all the ridiculous moments when camping with friends and family (and there are many of them) and the gorgeous sites and natural wonders this beautiful earth has to offer
Rechargeable batteries: goes without saying – my digital camera gets a lot of use as do the batteries!
Excel – I can’t say how many things I use excel for at home. I love excel – my reading list is sort-able (I think I just made a new word) a brilliant number of ways – dorky I know, but helps on the RA desk when I recommend books, not to mention it tells me what I have read and still want to read.
Mobile Phone: My personal organiser, alarm clock…and oh yeah – phone!
Wireless iPod car transmitter: I can’t praise this one enough! There is so much more room in my glove box now that it doesn’t hold CDs! One little gadget that hooks up to the cigarette lighter and I have access to I don’t even know how many music albums! Yeah baby!
Mary Poppins may have had an entire household in her bag, but other than lip balm, keys, wallet and my gadgets, that’s about it!
